Summer Rehearsals for the RBMB continue this Tuesday, 7/25/17, from 6:30-9:00 PM. We will meet in the Band Room and move into Sectional Rehearsals after announcements.
RBMB Members – keep your eyes open for a very important email regarding our upcoming Band Camp. This email will include important information abour rehearsal times and materials that you will need for camp. This email will be sent our later this week.
Volunteers are still needed for the Knights of Pythias Bingo each week. Please sign up in CHARMS if you are able to help out. The Knights of Pythias donate $500 a month to the Courtland Band Program for helping with their Bingo events on Sunday afternoons and Monday evenings. You can also earn points to help pay for Band Fees (Marching Band, Winter Activities, Class Fees, Trips, etc.). This is not limited to RBMB Members and their families. Any member of the CHS Band Program and/or their parents can sign up to work. These donations helped us purchase the new uniforms for the Marching Band. Our next goal is to get new “uniforms” for our Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble, and Wind Ensemble.
On Tuesday, August 8th at 7:00 PM, we will hold a meeting and training session for all parents who are interested in serving as chaperones during the 2017-18 school year. We need chaperones for events throughout the school year (Marching Band, Winter Activities, District Assessment, Spring Trip, etc.). We have updated our chaperone procedures and policies for the upcoming year. If you plan on chaperoning, or think you might like to chaperone, you must go through the training in order to be eligible to chaperone. If you are interested, but can’t make it to the meeting on the 8th, please let Mr. Leonard know.
